Above: HDR shot taken from inside one of the few remaining buildings on the site. Striped almost completely bare this large storage room made for a great environment for some 5 Exposure HDR's and really brought out the detail in the dimly lit room. Processed with Photomatix
Above: Same building as above, different perspective same processing.
Above: This Rusty Digger can be found within the main site near the front entrance to the Power Station abandoned for years the colours on the rust were striking although this is a HDR composite the original scene held the same vibrant colours.
Above: Another shot of the digger from behind showing 3 of the main cooling towers in the background
Above: HDR shot taken from inside the cooling tower with the Sigma 8mm Fisheye. Pretty much the only lens what will allow a full view of the towers from inside the fish eye became a valuable piece of kit on these visits.
Above: Same as above camera pointing straight up with the Sigma 8mm mounted on the body.
Above: One of our expeditions led us up these steps to the top of the tallest buildings remaining on site. The access is dreadful but possible, be careful when climbing the stairs as they are unsafe to say the least. I took a few shots from up high but in all honesty conditions that day were awful light was poor and the images were unusable.
Above: A view looking up and the staircase.
Above: Sunset over the railway tracks on my second visit to the site.
Above: Strangely there is a surprising amount of children's toys littered about the site. This shot inspired by a similar shot I had seen on flickr was taken to try and enhance the size of the car placing the camera at a low perspective with the cooling towers in the background.
Above: Finally a HDR photo of the old disused train tracks at the rear of the towers, heavily overgrown there is little to see at the back of the site.
